Breaking: YouTube Monetization Gets Easier for Small YouTubers!

YouTube has just announced a significant update to its Partner Program, making it easier than ever for small YouTubers to monetize their content and kick-start their careers. Lowered Requirements for YouTube Partner Program

• 1,000 subscribers
• 4,000 watch hours in the past 12 months OR 10M YouTube Shorts Views in the last 90 days.

With this new update, you’ll need:

• 500 Subscribers: half of what was needed before!
• 3 Public Uploads in the Last 90 Days: Peace of cake!
• 3000 Watch Hours OR 3M Shorts Views in 90 Days: That’s still where the hard work resides but it’ll be easier for everyone.

Unlocking Fan Funding and Early Monetization

What’s even more exciting is that meeting these new criteria unlocks access to fan funding features such as channel memberships, Super Chat, Super Stickers, Super Thanks, and the ability to promote your own products with YouTube Shopping. This is a game-changer for small YouTubers as it allows you to start earning money earlier in your YouTube journey.

However, it’s important to note that the ability to monetize your videos fully, including revenue sharing from ads, will still be unlocked when you reach the existing YPP requirements. The new criteria simply provide you with an opportunity to start earning revenue and engaging with your audience through fan funding features at an earlier stage.

Rollout and Eligibility

The new level of YPP is being rolled out gradually, starting with creators in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea. YouTube plans to introduce earlier access to YPP across all countries where YPP is available over time. This means that creators from various parts of the world will soon be able to benefit from these new opportunities.

Once you become eligible for the new YPP level and start monetizing your content, you will automatically remain eligible to earn revenue sharing from ads and enjoy even more benefits once you meet the existing YPP eligibility criteria. This means you won’t have to go through the full YPP application process again when you’re ready to unlock the full range of monetization features.
